  • Mission Possible: SNF Department Head Briefing Series: This monthly series will address essential functions, quality care and department-specific management functions for department heads with sessions specific for Administrators, DONs, Housekeeping, Social Services, Activities, Dietary, Maintenance and Therapy. Topics will include department-specific considerations for infection control, survey preparedness, role in meetings, IDT systems integration, MDS supportive documentation, care planning, driving QMs, employee satisfaction and customer service.

  • VGM Education/CE Solutions: VGM Education/CE Solutions has been offering customized education services for more than 20 years and offers more than 300 online courses all written by subject matter experts whose sole focus is senior care. Their online courses are designed to meet the needs of health care staff in skilled nursing, assisted living, home health and hospice environments.
  • HR/Staff Development webinar series: This webinar series consists of four webinars that are geared towards human resources professionals and staff
    development personnel in skilled nursing and assisted living. The focus of the content will be on employee recruitment and retention, staff training, employee engagement, best practices for employee orientation, employment law matters, and general human resources information.

ahcancalED is an AHCA/NCAL member benefit created for educational use. AHCA/NCAL will occasionally offer some critical educational offerings to non-members as a benefit for the profession. Through ahcancalED, there are educational training (CE approved & non-CE approved), webinars, videos, journal articles, and interviews with experts. Each has unique features.

The Indiana Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (IMDA)

IMDA is a professional association of clinicians and other practitioners working in the long-term care continuum.  IHCA/INCAL and IMDA share a common goal of promoting and advocating on behalf of the post­-acute and long-term care professions.

Additional Education Opportunities

Barbara Speedling’s Education Station

The Education Station offers video presentations of all of the mandatory inservice referenced in F941-F947, along with lesson plans, competency evaluations, power point presentation, certificate of completion, and additional policy and resource materials.  Additional videos on topics related to trauma-informed care, behavioral health, dementia care, and therapeutic activity will be added as the year progresses.  All materials will be refreshed at the start of each new year and a new password assigned.  The attached the introduction flyer explains the subscription service. *These webinars are not CE approved but meet CMS requirements for staff orientation and required annual education.  This service is currently available to members at a reduced annual subscription rate, that information can be found here:


Institute for Excellence in Memory Care

The Institute for Excellence in Memory Care offers CE approved webinars, as well as, in-person dementia care certification courses.



This website offers courses for Nursing Home Administrators, Nurses, Assisted Living Administrators and other disciplines.  The webinars are NAB approved.


Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care On-demand CEUs

Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, a community-based provider, offers care partners first-class education that will ultimately lead to better care and outcomes for our shared patients. They offer a variety of virtual online courses that fit the needs and schedules of those in healthcare. They are an accredited provider of CE and CME through ANCC, ASWB, AAFP, and NAB.
