Residential Citation Update – April 2020

The Indiana State Department of health conducted a total of 6 surveys in April 2020.  There were a total of 4 Offense tags cited; 2 Deficiency tags cited for a total of 6 Residential tags cited for April.

The tags are as follows:

Tag 052 (1 time) – Residents’ Rights Offense for failure to ensure that residents right to be free from any abuse was upheld.

Tag 406 (3 times) – Infection Control Offense for failure to establish and maintain an infection control practice designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and help prevent the development and transmission of diseases and infection.

Tag 413 (1 time) – Infection Control Deficiency for failure to ensure that when  the infection control program determines that a resident needs isolation to prevent the spread of infection, the facility must isolate the resident only to the degree needed to isolate the infecting organism.

Tag 414 (1 time) – Infection Control for failure to ensure staff wash their hands after direct resident contact for which hand washing is indicated by accepted professional practice.
