In response to the ISDH’s creation and related waiver of the new Temporary Personal Care Attendant (PCA) role in LTC facilities,  IHCA/INCAL workforce partner and Title Associate member, Ivy Tech Community College launched and provided free virtual PCA training to all Indiana LTC facilities throughout the month of April and early May.

Ivy Tech has now generously donated their PCA training slide content to IHCA/INCAL for both members and non-members to use.  The PCA training content is designed to work with a paid subscription (available for a nominal fee) to related RCP training videos  authored by Charlene Mantock (MA, RN-BC) and Susan Jesop (RN) and hosted by LAD Custom Publishing.

Skilled nursing and assisted living facilities may use the slides and subscribe to the video content for their own facility-based PCA training. PCA training requirements are available here.

IHCA/INCAL would like to thank Ivy Tech Community College for their ongoing partnership and support of LTC professionals during this time.
