The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced a big change for Nursing Home Compare. Starting October 23, 2019, consumers visiting Nursing Home Compare will see something new, an icon. A red circle with an open palm on the pages for facilities that have received a harm level or potential harm citation of abuse within the past 12 months.
Thr AHCA/NCAL team has received information on how CMS will calculate who will receive an icon and have conducted additional analysis to estimate the number of SNFs impacted. IHCA/INCAL members can access the full update by clicking here.
