The Indiana State Department of Health, through its contractor Probari, has started to contact nursing facility administrators with instructions on how to access an online portal related to the June effort to test all nursing facility staff. This portal is to be utilized for the following:
- To view those test results that are confirmed COVID-19 positive. More specifically, for the tests that were conducted through the state’s resources that are confirmed COVID-19 positive, those results will be automatically uploaded in a nursing facility’s portal. The portal’s developer is also working on adding the negative tests in order to provide a comprehensive set of results, and that feature should be available soon.
- To report the completion of tests by those staff members who were not tested through the state’s resources. For example, if a staff member was unavailable when the state’s testing kits were onsite but was tested through a nearby Optum or other external testing site, the completion of that test should be reported through the portal.
For nursing facilities that have had tests conducted to date that have not yet received access to the portal, Probari will be calling those nursing facilities directly to report any confirmed COVID-19 positive cases until portal access is provided.
Nursing facilities that elected to complete testing of staff during the month of June without utilizing any state resources will be asked to report those tests through the portal as well, in addition to completing the following Employee COVID-19 Testing Confirmation form. The completed form should be emailed to ltcproviderservices@isdh.in.gov by June 30, 2020.
