Phase 3 CMS Requirements of Participation (RoP) guidance mandates that SNFs develop, implement, and maintain effective training and competency programs for all staff. Training and competencies need to be based on each facility’s resident population and facility assessment to ensure staff have the competencies necessary to meet the ever-changing care needs of residents.
