Ashley Campbell, the youngest child of Kim Campbell and country music legend Glen Campbell, is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician. Ashley put her own career and life on hold when her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Her debut single, “Remembering,” a deeply personal reflection about her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, was featured in the documentary, Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. The soundtrack for I’ll be Me, was honored with two Grammy awards. Celebrating the healing power of music, Ashley shares her family’s journey with Alzheimer’s, often integrating music and performance into her honest, raw and moving keynotes. Ashley embraced music and performing at an early age. She went on to major in theater at Pepperdine University, regularly performing improv comedy at the Groundlings and Comedy Sportz theaters in Hollywood. When she was asked to learn the banjo for a role in Pepperdine’s Edinburgh Theater program, music began to take the wheel as both a passion and a career. Shortly after graduation, Ashley joined her father on his Goodbye Tour, playing both banjo and keyboard. “I can’t even put into words how priceless it was for me to be able to perform with my dad,” Ashley said. “I had the best seat in the house, being right there on stage with him every night. Watching him was the ultimate lesson in sharing joy and experiences through music.” She was at her father’s side until he eventually lost his battle with Alzheimer’s. Since her father’s death in 2017, Ashley has dedicated her life to her musical career and to sharing the impact of her family’s journey with Alzheimer’s. Ashley often shares the stage with her mother, Kim, who founded CareLiving.com to assist those caring for loved ones with the disease. Ashley was also a strong support to her mother, Kim, who served as Glen’s primary caregiver. She reminds us of the importance of caring for the caregiver, those who are often times neglected. In 2018, Ashley released her first album, The Lonely One, co-produced with her brother Cal on her own label. Her latest album Something Lovely, released by Vacancy Records in the UK, hit the Top Ten of the UK Country Charts upon release. She continues to tour internationally with her band. With her guitar in hand and heart exposed, Ashley keeps her father’s memory and story alive. “Daddy don’t you worry, I’ll do the remembering.”
