Record Number of IHCA/INCAL members awarded AHCA/NCAL National Quality Awards
Indiana secures the most Bronze Quality Award Winners in the Nation
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Health Care Association/Indiana Center for Assisted Living (IHCA/INCAL) is pleased to congratulate its 59 member communities across the state for setting an Indiana record in receiving the most National Quality Awards in the program’s history. Additionally, Indiana long term care facilities received the most Bronze Quality Awards in the nation.
“Our members have always leaned into initiatives to improve the quality of care of their residents, so it is no surprise to me that they led the nation in the number of Bronze Awards in 2023. I look forward to working with these communities and encourage all members to look into applying for the awards program in the future,” said Paul Peaper, president of the IHCA/INCAL.
Bronze award is the first and the Silver award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated high-quality outcomes for staff and residents in long-term and post-acute care. Applicants adhere to the criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program to evaluate and improve their processes, creating a systematic approach that leads to and sustains positive results.
