INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 19, 2021) – The Indiana Health Care Association/Indiana Center for Assisted Living (IHCA/INCAL) announced today Nick Goodwin has been named director of government affairs to lead the legislative function for the Association. With more than a decade of public sector experience at the federal and state level, Nick will be a great asset to the Association and will serve as a strong advocate for the long-term care sector.

Nick has a well-established track record of achievements and will serve our members and our sector well especially as we navigate through these challenging times and prepare for our sector’s recovery from the ongoing public health emergency,” said Zach Cattell, president of the IHCA/INCAL.”
“Nick’s public service acumen and extensive experience at the federal and state level will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for Indiana’s more than 480 long-term care providers,” he added.
Nick most recently served as the district director and communications director for Congresswoman Victoria Spartz. Prior to this, he spent two years in Washington DC as the communications director for the U.S. Department of the Interior for Secretary David Bernhardt. Before serving in these federal capacities, Nick worked extensively with the Indiana General Assembly, first as the deputy communications director for Speaker of the House Brian Bosma. He then held leadership positions in communications and legislative affairs with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Governor Mike Pence’s Office, and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
