As reported in our newsletter last month, a new process was scheduled to begin July 1, 2019 for Medicaid enrollment and credentialing. The Indiana Medicaid agency contracted with a new enrollment and credentialing vendor for Medicaid providers. The vendor, Conduent, will manage both the IHCP provider enrollment process and the MCE credentialing process. At a meeting in March, IHCA Working Reimbursement Committee members expressed a number of concerns to a Conduent representative who attended the meeting. IHCA also shared these concerns with the Medicaid agency, and as a result, the new process will be phased in at a later date and concerning elements have been changed.
