Hoosiers are worried. Indiana is moving ahead with a plan to pay insurance companies hundreds of millions of dollars to take over the state’s Medicaid-covered long-term services and supports. This is a substantial and concerning move by the State that will likely put Hoosier seniors’ access to essential health care services and quality care at risk. This transition is also projected to result in significant reductions in Medicaid funding for health care services and place insurance companies in control of approving long-term care services.
This legislative session, we must all come together to make our voices heard. We invite you to join our advocacy campaign – We Care Long Term – to voice our concern against the state’s proposal and urge our state representatives and senators to support alternative solutions that can take Indiana in a different and better direction.
