Diana Feasby has been passionately serving long-term care residents as a nurse for more than 30 years. Her favorite part of the job is the clinicals as she loves getting to know the residents and hear about their lives, families and just spend time with them. She strongly believes that for the residents that do not have family, you became their family! She mentions how she loves seeing their eyes light up and how happy they are when they see a familiar face that they can talk too.
Diana started working at Saint Anne Communities (SAC) Rehab Facility a week after the unit opened 17 years ago and she has since then been employed with Saint Anne’s and calls this place as her home.
“There have been so many changes and challenges since COVID-19 and are still happening on a daily basis. We have many staff members who continue to work through all these changes where other facilities have staff are quitting,” says Diana. “We have a lot of dedicated staff as we have staff that have been here longer than myself. This in itself is why St. Anne’s is a great place to work.”
Diana will be retiring from her role in 2023, but is looking forward to continuing with SAC on a PRN basis as she doesn’t think she can just walk away from all the residents and friends that she has made over the years. This is truly the definition of what it means to be a Long Term Care Hero, with the love and dedication of taking care of residents as they are your own family!
Thank you Diana, for your dedication to Hoosier seniors for the past 30 years!
