Update: Cost Report Schedule X

The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning recently released a Bulletin announcing a revision of Schedule X to reflect changes in the Indiana Medicaid Value Based Purchasing Program.  You can view the Bulletin here.  In addition, please see additional announcement from OMPP below regarding Schedule X.

The due date for Schedule Z and Schedule X Part 1 is March 31, 2019.  As this date falls on a Sunday, the due date falls to the next business day.  Accordingly, schedules hand-delivered to Myers and Stauffer, post-marked, or uploaded to the LTC Web Portal on April 1, 2019 will be considered a timely submission for calculation of July 1, 2019 Medicaid reimbursement rates.

Schedule X Part 2 is due on July 31, 2019 which is a mail day.  Accordingly, Schedule X Part 2 which are hand-delivered to Myers and Stauffer, post-marked, or uploaded to the LTC Web Portal on July 31, 2019 will be considered a timely submission for calculation of July 1, 2019 Medicaid reimbursement rates.

For facilities with a fiscal year end of December 31st, the annual Medicaid cost report is due May 31, 2019.  This original due date is on a Friday; accordingly, there is no need to move to the next business day.  The one month delinquent period before any penalty is imposed would continue to apply which is June 30, 2019.  As such, Medicaid annual cost reports due on May 31, 2019 must be hand-delivered to Myers and Stauffer by 5 pm on Friday, June 28, 2019, postmarked on or before Sunday, June 30, 2019, or uploaded to the LTC Web Portal by 11:59 pm on Sunday, June 30, 2019 to prevent sanctions related to delinquent filing in accordance with 405 IAC 1-14.6.  Medicaid cost reports due on May 31, 2019 which are hand-delivered, post-marked, or uploaded to the LTC Web Portal on July 1, 2019 or after will be considered delinquent and subject to the penalty sanctions at 405 IAC 1-14.6.
