Comprehensive Crime & Elder Abuse Prevention
Senior CrimestoppersTM is an educational and crime deterrent program that is funded by CRA Partners and participating banks. Their mission is to deliver crime prevention services to ensure that a zero tolerance crime policy exists and is vigilantly maintained for the residents, staff, management, visitors, and vendors in our nation’s senior housing facilities, HUD communities, and state Veterans homes which contribute to the improvement of a resident’s overall quality of life. Incidents of all types affecting anyone on the grounds of the community, regardless of severity and nature, are covered under the Senior Crimestoppers program umbrella. Incidents can include, but are not limited to, abuse, neglect, fraud, financial exploitation, theft, vandalism, sub-standard care, and any type of unethical behavior.
The program is focused on educating and safeguarding senior adults against theft, abuse and neglect and includes education, protection and quality of life components:
- 24/7 toll-free Tip Line with rewards
- Personal in-room lockboxes
- Facility Signage
- Online in-service education and training, including Senior Sentry Video on preventing elder financial abuse and Senior Secure, an elder abuse prevention and protection program
- Wish Comes True grant
- Time of Your Life enrichment series
