As of today, i.e. April 20, 2020, long-term care facilities reporting COVID-19 cases and deaths will be required to use a new RedCap Survey, which can be found here. The current RedCap Survey will be inactivated at that time.
The new RedCap Survey will allow long-term care facilities to enter their facility demographics one time. Long-term care facilities will then only need to add the client record information for their facility when reporting subsequently.
As a reminder, long-term care facilities are required to report the following within twenty-four (24) hours:
Confirmed or suspected deaths should be reported regardless of where the death occurred and within twenty-four (24) hours of a facility’s knowledge of the death. The entirety of the Indiana State Department of Health’s (ISDH) notice on the new RedCap Survey can be found here.
