According to Livanta, the Quality Improvement Organization, several providers still do not have a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Livanta, as required by Section 1866(a)(1)(F)(ii) of the Social Security Act.

Every provider should check to see if their organization has an MOA in place and that all the contact points are correct.  If a provider does not have a current MOA, the provider’s designated representative should download the MOA template from the following link and submit the signed MOA to Livanta as soon as possible.

The MOA template and submission instructions are on Livanta’s website at: https://LivantaQIO.com/en/Provider/MOA

Over the course of the last several months, Livanta has been sending direct faxes to provider organizations that have not completed an MOA. For providers that do not have fax numbers on file with Livanta, Livanta’s staff have been making direct phone calls regarding the outstanding MOA. Despite their efforts, many providers remain out of compliance with this requirement. In the next few days, Livanta will be sending printed, written notice of non-compliance to these providers by U.S. postal mail.

Recommendations:

  • Determine the status of a signed MOA with Livanta.
  • Ensure all points of contacts are updated and sent to Livanta.
  • Download the MOA template and submit signed MOA as soon as possible as appropriate.
