Please hare this information with your family caregivers.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Division of Aging will be administering a statewide caregiver survey. The responses and results of survey are intended to guide the creation of new programming and policies for non-paid and family caregivers in Indiana. The survey is open to anyone in Indiana who supports anyone over 55 years old, in any capacity (physical, emotional, medical or financial support, etc.), including Essential Family Caregivers in long term care.

The target audience of the survey are adults who have assisted (unpaid) someone age 55 or older at least once a month for the last 12 months with any of the following:

  • Companionship or checking in by phone or in person
  • Household tasks like cooking, cleaning, shopping or yardwork
  • Personal care like dressing or grooming
  • Transportation
  • Managing bills, insurance or legal matters
  • Responding to medical or other emergencies

FSSA is sponsoring the study and the Center for Survey Research at Indiana University is conducting the interviews over the phone. The interview lasts about 25 minutes and is confidential. You may skip any questions you do not want to answer. To schedule an interview, to learn more about the study, or if you prefer to speak with a Spanish-speaking interviewer, please call 800-258-7691.  Or, if you would prefer to provide feedback through a 20-minute web survey, CLICK HERE.
