COVID-19 Temporary Healthcare Provider Registry

Reminder: The COVID-19 Temporary Healthcare Provider Registry will continue until the federal public health emergency ends. Governor Holcomb initially created the registry through executive order during the pandemic. During this past legislative session, House Enrolled Act 1003 was enacted, which extended the COVID-19 Temporary Healthcare Provider Registry through the end of the federal public health emergency (PHE). We expect the federal PHE to be extended another 90 days in July, since the Feds have not provided any notice (which they said they would do) of their plans to end the state of emergency.

We do recommend that you work with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency to get your out of state practitioners, recent graduates and recent retirees (who came back into the workforce) fully licensed as soon as possible since the registry will likely come to an end in the coming 3-6 months.
