On April 27, 2017, CMS issued the proposed rule for SNF prospective payment system (PPS) for 2018. The rule increases payments by 1%, or $390 million. The rule also includes language on the SNF value-based purchasing program, the IMPACT Act’s quality reporting program, as well as discussion on relief to three onerous provisions of the new Requirements of Participation.
