CMS COVID-19 Training No Longer Required for 4.2% Rate Enhancement

Due to the ongoing increase in COVID-19 cases across the state and the potential rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination for nursing facilities next week, on December 9, 2020, FSSA announced that it is waiving the requirement for nursing facility providers to complete the CMS COVID-19 Training in order to receive the 4.2% rate enhancement for November 1 through December 30.

All nursing facility providers will continue receive the rate enhancement for November 1 through December 30, regardless of whether the CMS COVID-19 Training is completed.  Instead, the primary focus during this time should be patient care.

FSSA still encourages providers to complete the CMS COVID-19 training, but it is no longer tied to the continued rate enhancement.
