The revised Resident Assessment Instrument and MDS Item Sets (v1.18.11) will become effective for assessments with an ARD of 10/01/2023 and after. This session will review the new and revised data elements, MDS steps for assessment, and supporting documentation requirements while evaluating the impact on care planning, discharge planning, and Quality Measures.

Projected Learning Outcomes/Course Objectives: At the conclusion of each session, the learner will:
1. Identify new and revised MDS data elements effective 10/01/2023;
2. Consider how facility processes for gathering and reporting accurate patient data may be impacted;
