As Director of Workforce Development and Member Services, Emily Berger develops and maintains programs and policies that have a posititve impact on the quality and supply of workers for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Indiana Health Care Foundation, and is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and promoting the sufficient resources to carry out the IHCF’s mission to further the knowledge, education, information, and understanding in the areas of health care, wellness, and services to the aged and chronically ill. Emily joined IHCA/INCAL in July 2015 as Director of Administration and Foundation Services.
Emily is a development, strategic planning and information resource professional with over ten years of experience in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, with a successful track record of relationship-building, program development and management, fundraising, marketing, and research.
Emily obtained her M.L.S. from the School of Informatics and Computer Science at Indiana University, and her B.A. in Communication at Hanover College. She has also completed multiple courses at The Fundraising School through the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Emily is a native of the Indianapolis area and has previously been involved in the community through Giving Sum, First Book, Connect2Help, School on Wheels, and Leadership Johnson County. She currently serves on the Hanover College Alumni Association Board of Directors.
