Amy has over 4 years of experience in minority and governmental affairs. She spent 3 years at the Indiana Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs as the agency’s Executive Director. In addition to multiple responsibilities, she authored a number of legislative reports and oversaw and managed the agency’s strategic planning initiatives.   Prior to her tenure at the Commission she worked for the City of Hammond Office of Hispanic Affairs where she advised municipal officials on issues affecting local Hispanics/Latinos. She has served on a number of boards and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University in Spanish with International Studies and a Certificate of Translation. She is also a member of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series Class of 2008.
