General Counsel, Director of Business & Member Services

In his role as General Counsel & Director of Business and Member Service for the IHCA, Zach utilizes his background in health care policy and law, legislative and regulatory procedure, project management, and community service.  

Zach joined the Association from Baker & Daniels, LLP and B&D Consulting where he practiced law in the Health and Life Sciences group and provided strategic consulting services for clients in Washington D.C.  His previous experience includes leading the government relations efforts for the Indiana State Medical Association, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and the Indiana State Department of Health.  Zach also served as a policy analyst for Governor Jim Hodges of South Carolina in the Governor’s Washington, D.C. office.

Zach is also involved in the Indianapolis community through his service on the boards of directors of Connect2Help and Better Healthcare for Indiana, as well as other volunteer activities.  He obtained his Juris Doctor at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis and his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
