Associate Membership
Business Partners Businesses, consultants or individuals engaged in supplying products or services to the health care industry, and who are interested in the growth and development of the profession. Associate Membership is not open to health facilities, nor to individuals employed by or having ownership interest in non-member facilities.
Associate Membership "A" shall be available to selected, qualified and approved individuals recommended by a member facility and approved by the IHCA Board of Directors in accordance with IHCA Bylaws.
Associate Membership "C" shall be available to any person, firm or corporation in the process of constructing or contemplating the construction of a nursing home upon application for such membership being duly made, and approval of such application by the Board of Directors.

Membership Notes
Membership renews on a calendar-year basis and runs January – December.
IHCA dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for tax purposes, but may continue to be deductible as a business expense.
Per Section 6033(e) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, a reasonable estimate of 25% of IHCA dues and 30.40% of AHCA dues will be spent on lobbying and other expenditures subject to Section 162(e)(1) of the Code and therefore are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.
The IHCA Board of Directors has final authority over any questions or disputes regarding membership eligibility.
