IHCA - dedicated to quality long-term care in Indiana
Our core purpose is to assist members in delivering quality long-term care to Indiana patients.
The Indiana Health Care Association is proud to be the state's largest trade organization and advocate representing proprietary, not-for-profit and hospital-based nursing home and assisted living communities. IHCA member facilities care for more than 25,000 of Indiana's geriatric and developmentally disabled citizens. As an information, education and advocacy resource to health care providers, consumers and lawmakers, IHCA is recognized as the authority in the continuum of quality long-term care services in Indiana.
Governed by a 15-member board of directors, IHCA was founded in 1945 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to quality long-term care. IHCA is a founding member of the profession's premier national organization, the American Health Care Association, and in 1998 established the Indiana Center for Assisted Living (INCAL), the state's largest assisted living trade association, and affiliate to the National Center for Assisted Living.
IHCA membership also includes more than 100 Associate Members, or companies that provide valuable products and services to long-term care providers. These members value the information and services IHCA provides, along with our ability to connect them with Indiana's largest group of long-term care buyers.
